In Solaris, error message start service:

Need to check backupadmin home directory.

# finger backupadmin

Testing:

# cd /export/home/backupadmin
/export/home/backupadmin: does not exist

Create backupadmin home directory

# mkdir -p /export/home/backupadmin
# chown backupadmin:admin /export/home/backupadmin

Restart service

# svcadm restart svc:/network/bpcd/tcp:default
# svcs -a | grep bpcd

Add service in Solaris

# vi /etc/inetd.conf

Convert to SMF service:

# inetconv
