grep

grep, egrep, fgrep, rgrep – print lines matching a pattern

# grep -i keyword | grep -v grep

-v, --invert-match
Invert the sense of matching, to select non-matching lines. (-v
is specified by POSIX.)
-i, --ignore-case
Ignore case distinctions in both the PATTERN and the input
files. (-i is specified by POSIX.)

grep multiple keywords:

# less -1000 /var/log/messages | grep 'error\|failed\|stop\|restart'
